With a wealth of experience spanning more than 25 years in diverse financial domains such as Retail Assets, Insurance, Cards, and Wealth Management, our CEO, Ashish Sapra is driving TVS Credit into a transformative phase of extensive digitisation, enhanced customer acquisition and holistic growth. His vast experience in profit and loss (P&L) management, digital initiatives, senior stakeholder management and guiding businesses to profitability is shaping the bright future trajectory of TVS Credit. Under his guidance, the organisation’s total income grew by 51% in FY23 from the previous year. The organisation has also been recognised as a ‘Great Place to Work’ by the Great Place to Work Institute – the ‘Gold Standard’ in workplace culture assessment.
Prior to joining us, Ashish contributed over 14 years of expertise to the Bajaj Group, leading operations in Housing Finance, General Insurance and NBFC sectors. His professional journey also includes valuable experiences at American Express and HSBC. He has also completed the Advanced Management Program from INSEAD, Fontainebleau.
Roopa Sampath Kumar is a seasoned finance professional with expertise in managing Accounting Transitions, Treasury Management, Organization Building, Governance and Stakeholder Engagement.
Roopa is a Chartered Accountant with 20 years of experience in India and as, aCertified Public Accountant in the U.S.A. Earlier, she was the CFO at Hinduja Housing Finance and Head of Finance at Hinduja Leyland Finance Limited, where she managed Finance and Treasury. She has also worked with Price Waterhouse (PwC) and ICICI Bank.
Ananthakrishnan R is an enthusiastic and seasoned financial service professional with 25 years of experience in retail consumer lending across various geographies and segments. He has been part of TVS Credit since its inception, as the Head of Credit for Retail and Consumer Business and has been instrumental in establishing profitable business verticals, scaling operations, growing our portfolio and expanding our footprint. Mr. Ananthakrishnan has also optimised our Credit & Risk processes & operations, furthered cross-selling and promoted Digital First businesses.
At TVS Credit, Mr. Ananthakrishnan has managed business scale-ups across various product categories namely – Two-Wheeler Loans, Three-Wheeler Loans, Consumer Durable Loans, Used Car Loans, and Personal Loans. Before joining TVS Credit, he was associated with Bajaj Finserv and Chola DBS. He holds an MBA from Bharathiyar University and an Analytics certification from Great Lakes and XLRI.
Muralidhar Sripathi, who leads the Retail Business wing of Two-wheeler and Used Cars, is a seasoned and versatile professional with over 30 years of multi-functional expertise across 15 major Indian states. He has previously worked for Sundaram Finance Chola VF, as well as BAFL. Sales, Collections, Credit, Business Commercial Vehicles, New Cars, Used Cars, Two-Wheelers, Corporate Leasing, Consumer Durables, Office Automation Equipment, and Medical Equipment Financing, are just some of the tasks he’s tried his hand at.
His primary competencies include Crisis Management, Start-up, and Build Operate Transfer tasks. A graduate of the University of Madras, he is currently pursuing a Great Lakes Analytics certification.
Soujanya Aluri has completed her MBA from the Indian School of Business and has over 25 years of experience in leading technology vision and strategy, as well as, overseeing multiple technological areas such as product management, engineering, operations, agile transformation, cloud, and cybersecurity. She also has a Master of Science in Computer Applications.
At TVS Credit Soujanya is in- charge of creating the company’s Tech & Digital strategy. Prior to joining TVS Credit, she was the Head of Digital Technology at National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), where she played a key role in the development of mobile payments platforms, data platforms, AI models, cloud transformation, and block chain settlement systems. She has also worked with GE Digital, Sify, and Accenture. Her personal interests revolve around the environment and sustainability, as well as, reading.
Shelvin Mathews is a Chartered Accountant (ICAI) and Cost & Management Accountant (ICMAI) with over 21 years of experience in the financial services industry. He is in-charge of developing a strong Enterprise level Risk Management Framework at TVS Credit. His major areas of experience include developing an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework for the lending industry, implementing KYC-AML rules, and aligning risk management practices with RBI guidelines for NBFCs. He has an Enterprise Risk Management certification from IIM Bangalore. He is also an ISO 27001 (Information Security Management Systems) and ISO 22301 (Business Continuity Management Systems) Certified Internal Auditor. He has worked in several areas of risk management for corporations such as UGRO Capital Ltd., ICICI Bank, L&T Finance and Reliance Commercial Finance (a subsidiary of Reliance Capital).
Prashant holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and is an MBA from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) Pune. He holds the SCP (Senior Certified Professional) certification from the Society of HR Management, USA.
He has a diverse experience of 25 years ranging from Plant HR, Business HR Partner, Practice Lead HR to HR Leadership in businesses like Manufacturing, IT distribution, Banking, General Insurance, Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC) and Home Finance Company (HFC). He has led and shaped People Practices for over 18 years as a Chief Human Resources Officer in multiple organizations and has led various change management and thought leadership initiatives. He takes pride in aiding business performance by creating right people environment and leading People function like a Customer Centric Business.
His career span includes working in Dilip Piramal Group, where he gained foundational experience as Plant HR and then moved to Godrej Group and ICICI Bank. Prior to joining us, he was with Reliance Capital Group over 18 years. Within Reliance Capital Group, he has held HR Leadership roles at Reliance General Insurance, Reliance Commercial Finance, Reliance Home Finance and lastly at the Group level.
Charandeep Singh is the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at TVS Credit. He holds a B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering from Punjab Agricultural University and an MBA in Marketing from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai. With over 18 years of marketing, sales, CRM, and strategy expertise in BFSI and automotive industries, he has managed and spearheaded numerous initiatives in brand communication, market research, digital business, analytics, and customer relationship management. He has led various transformational efforts, including the creation of company websites and mobile apps, as well as, multiple award-winning marketing campaigns. He has also effectively implemented programmes which improve customer engagement and experience.
He has played a key role in establishing TVS Credit’s new brand identity, which resulted in a new visual identity system and brand repositioning in response to the changing business requirements. Under his guidance, the firm has received numerous awards for various marketing initiatives, including The Best Visibility and Visual Campaign of the Year at the renowned RMAI Flame Awards Asia 2018. He was also recognised by CMS – Asia’s Top Content Mogul for 2020, Top 100 Digital Marketers by Adobe Digi100 for 2018, and Top 50 Content Marketing Leaders by LinkedIn for 2018. In addition, while at MMFSL, he was named Youth Achiever of the Year at the 2017 Rural Marketing Awards.
Kasturirangan PV is a Chartered Accountant and Cost and Management Accountant with over 25 years of experience in a variety of financial disciplines. As TVS Credit’s Chief Treasury Officer, he oversees treasury management, investments, ratings, and external stakeholder interactions under the supervision of the Asset Liability Management Committee. Taxation, costing, auditing, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning and management, are among his areas of expertise. He was the CFO at Nissan Ashok Leyland Technologies Limited before joining TVS Credit. He has international job experience in addition to working across multiple sectors with two significant organisations, TVS and Ashok Leyland.
Piyush Choudhary has about 18 years of auditing experience and is a Chartered Accountant (ICAI) and CISA (passed) (Big 4s and BFSI industry). He leads the establishment of a strong Risk Based Internal Audit (RBIA) Framework in compliance with RBI standards as the Chief Internal Audit Office at TVS Credit. His key areas of expertise include building risk-based internal audit (RBIA) frameworks for banks and non-bank financial companies (NBFCs), automating internal audit procedures, conducting IT audits, developing internal financial controls (IFC) frameworks, and presenting to audit committees. He has worked for PwC and Deloitte on a number of system and process assurance initiatives (Application Controls testing, ITGC audits, SOX, SSAE 16 engagements).
Vikas Arora is a seasoned compliance, governance, and legal specialist with over 18 years of experience, especially in the BFSI sector. He has expertise in corporate law, NBFC compliance, regulations, governance, data privacy, labour laws, contract management, litigation, and FEMA, as well as anti-fraud management and PMLA compliance. He holds the titles of corporate secretary (ICSI) and law graduate (LLB). As Chief Compliance Officer, he is responsible for establishing a robust compliance framework and guiding the organisation’s compliance culture. Prior to joining TVS Credit, he was the head of compliance, legal, and company secretary at BMW Financial Services. He has previously worked with GE Money, Canara HSBC Life Insurance, and Genpact.
